Overview

Lens Flare TV are an independent kit hire and crewing company based in Manchester, providing equipment, crew and drone services to leading broadcasters and indies across the country. We are looking for a junior bookings coordinator to join our growing team.

The role will be based at our offices in MediaCity UK.

Key Skills

Excellent communication skills are essential
Experience with Current-RMS bookings software is advantageous but not essential
Have a passion for the industry and enthusiasm to learn new skills within the role
Have good attention to detail
Work well in a team environment

Key Responsibilities

Prepare quotations for clients, ensuring all equipment is included and appropriate
Provide support and advice to clients as well as solutions to specific needs
Handle phone calls and emails from clients
Manage the allocation of equipment and resources with the support of the bookings coordinator and resources manager
Liaising with the warehouse team to manage stock
Manage ongoing customer bookings with support and knowledge
Maintain existing client relationships with production managers, editorial teams and technical staff

Requirements

Enthusiastic approach with a good knowledge of broadcast television equipment and practices
Good organisational skills are essential for the role, you must be able to prioritise tasks and manage time efficiently
Solid administrative skills are required as you will need to operate our bookings system, respond to emails, manage calendars and answer phone calls
A good understanding of current camera formats, lenses, lighting, and sound equipment commonly used in broadcast television is useful but not essential at this stage

Normal business hours are 8:30 am to 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday. The role involves an 8-hour shift (7 working hours plus a 1-hour lunch) within this time.
