Thank you for choosing to hire from us. Please read the following information and fill in your details in the form below. Usually we can complete the application process within the day, however, unfortunately and some trade references and insurers are slow to respond so please allow up to 48 hours to process your information.

If you require an urgent hire then please call the office and we will do everything we can to get you set-up as quickly as possible.

Below are a list of requirements before your first hire:

  • Company or individual contact details
  • Two trade references.
  • Proof of address and ID for sole traders and freelancers.
  • Proof of address and ID for companies where only one director is listed on Companies House.
  • Valid ‘hired-in equipment’ insurance policy which covers the total value of equipment hired. Unfortunately we are unable to cover your equipment hire on our policy.

Your first hire

  • We will require payment up-front for your first hire. This may be paid in advance online or over the phone, or on collection of equipment.
  • We may also require a deposit for your first hire for 50% of the total equipment cost. This will be refunded to you on return.

    Proof of ID

    If you are a freelancer or sole trader, or if you are the only listed director of a limited company, we require proof of ID in order to complete your application. This must be a UK driving licence (provisional driving licence will be accepted) or a UK passport.

    We may also ask you to bring the originals of these when you collect your first hire.

    Proof of Address

    If you are a freelancer or sole trader, or if you are the only listed director of a limited company, we require two forms of proof of address in order to complete your application. These must be two utility bills dated within the past three months.

    We may also ask you to bring the originals of these when you collect your first hire.




    Trade References

    We require two trade references who will be contacted to confirm your trading status and history.

    Insurance

    Any company, sole trader, or individual must have a valid 'hired-in equipment' insurance policy which covers the total value of equipment hired. All quotations from Lens Flare TV include a total replacement value. In order to complete your application we will require the cover note of the valid insurance policy.

    Please ensure that your Insurer have permission to give Lens Flare TV Ltd. confirmation that the cover is valid.
