The Light Storm 1200d Pro is Aputure’s flagship Light Storm Product. Featuring a 1200W COB, the LS 1200d Pro is both the brightest light in the entire Aputure product line, as well as the highest output Bowens Mount light fixture on the market.
To optimise its output, the LS 1200d Pro includes three Bowens Mount Hyper Reflectors with varying beam angles: Narrow, Medium, & Wide. With its Narrow Hyper Reflector, the 1200d Pro can achieve an output of 83,100 lux at a distance of 3 meters.
By designing the LS 1200d Pro to utilise the Bowens Mount, the Light Storm flagship can also use a wide array of Bowens Mount soft light modifiers such as Light Domes and Lanterns.
As a professional Light Storm fixture, the LS 1200d Pro utilises a weather-resistant construction to withstand inclement weather. Its connectivity is also designed with lighting technicians in mind. The 1200d Pro uses Lumen radio CRMX and Art-net & sACN via an etherCON connector, in addition to the 5-Pin DMX512 ports, to seamlessly integrate into any professional DMX interface.
The LS 1200d Pro also makes battery operation possible for high output fixtures by integrating two 48V/15A DC inputs for half or full power so that users can operate the 1200d Pro without noisy generators.
The Light Storm 1200d Pro is ideal for filmmakers who need a high-output modifiable light fixture that also features a wide range of control & connectivity options, weather-resistant build quality, and the ability to operate using DC battery power. Integrating the LS 1200d Pro into onset workflows with CRMX or sACN, with its combination of HMI-level output, multiple reflector options, and Bowens Mount compatibility, gives filmmakers an incredibly bright fixture that already works within their existing ecosystems and smooth dimming control without colour shift or the need to use scrims to decrease output.
The 1200d Pro easily fits into any existing LED lighting package and does not require constant bulb changes and maintenance like HMI or Tungsten lamps, making it an easy plug-and-play solution for filmmakers and lighting technicians who need to compete with intense sunlight and need to travel.
