This camera builds on the success and popularity of the FS7 and FS7 MkII, packing a punch with a brand new full-frame 6K sensor and dual base ISOs of 800 and 4000. The back-illuminated sensor technology improves sensitivity and even better noise reduction when shooting in low light.

Additional features include an electronic variable ND filter and an incredible auto focus function when shooting with Sony E-Mount lenses.

Audio on the FX9 has also seen an improvement from the FS7 with 4 channels independently controllable on the operator side of the body. As well as standard XLR inputs, channels 3 and 4 can be used with either the wireless Sony UWP series radio mics, or with the slot-in receiver used by most sound recordists.
