We’re proud to be providing camera and gallery facilities for Blue Peter, the world’s longest-running children’s TV show, from its new home at Campfield Studios in central Manchester.

Our in-house DOP, Simon Makin, is leading the camera team and Steven Spence is the technical supervisor. Lens Flare TV is supplying full camera crews, assistants, vision control, and comms support.

The new series is being filmed on a fully wireless setup using Sony FX9 cameras paired with Canon CN10 and CN7 lenses. This allows greater flexibility and movement in the studio and outside areas whilst still having complete iris and camera control in the gallery.  In addition, we’re also bringing the Ronin 4D gimbal into the mix to give PTCs a more dynamic feel.

We’re honoured that the BBC has chosen us to help deliver this iconic show, on air since 1958. We can’t wait for all the fun ahead with presenters Joel Mawhinney, Abby Cook, Shini Muthukrishnan, and Hacker T. Dog.
