The Rap Game UK

Naked / BBC Three
Production Company: Naked
Broadcaster: BBC Three
Service: Crew/Hire/Drone

The multiple award-winning BBC Three series sees Krept & Konan and DJ Target put a hand-selected group of the UK’s top unsigned rappers through their paces, joined by the creme-de-la-creme of UK lyricists as mentors. Only ONE takes the crown and lands a cash prize to help kickstart their music career. Who will have what it takes?

We were pleased to return for another series of The Rap Game UK, a show produced by Naked. Our in-house DOP Simon Makin and Camera assistant David Alexander shot the series with various set ups and technical rigs. These included master interviews, penthouse lighting, indents, and nine challenges in different locations. Each challenge had up to 11 cameras and bespoke lighting set ups.

Contestants LR Loose and Sixty-Five battle it out.

As well as crew, we also provided six self-shooting PD kits with the Sony FS7 MKII cameras and a Sony FX6 camera mounted on a Ronin RS3 gimbal.  The team also opted for Sony G-Master glass this year with a mixture of prime and zoom lenses.

In addition, we also provided drone services to the series with our pilot and camera operator Daniel Spencer-Purvis.

Catch the entire series on BBC iPlayer now.
